The article provides a theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem of forming professional and pedagogical competence of teachers of professional and artistic disciplines in higher education institutions. The relevance of the study is due to transformational processes in the system of artistic and professional education, digitalization of the educational environment, increased requirements for the quality of pedagogical activity and the integration of artistic and creative and pedagogical components in the training of specialists.
The work substantiates the structure of professional and pedagogical competence of teachers of professional and artistic disciplines, within which interrelated components are distinguished: motivational, cognitive, communicative, cultural, artistic and creative, axiological, organizational and pedagogical and reflective and analytical.
The motivational component reflects professional orientation, value orientations and readiness for self-development; cognitive – a system of psychological and pedagogical, artistic and methodological knowledge; communicative – the ability to effectively interact with teachers in an educational and creative environment. The cultural component involves the integration of national and world cultural traditions into the content of education; artistic and creative – the formation of one’s own creative potential and the ability to artistic interpretation. The axiological component determines the value and semantic orientations of pedagogical activity; organizational and pedagogical – the ability to design, organize and evaluate the educational process; reflective and analytical – the ability to self-assess, pedagogical reflection and correction of professional activity.
It is proven that the proposed structural model of professional and pedagogical competence ensures the integrity of the training of teachers of a professional and artistic profile, promotes the integration of creative and pedagogical activity and meets modern requirements for the quality of artistic education. The results of the study can be used in the process of modernizing educational programs, developing criteria for assessing professional training and organizing advanced training for scientific and pedagogical workers.
Key words: professional and pedagogical competence, teacher of professional and artistic disciplines, art education, competence structure, pedagogical activity, artistic and creative development.
